«Porno Trash» is a two stages performance about the body theme, its oppression, its liberation,

about social perception/building of nudity and body as space and laboratory of practises and relationships.

 

During the first stage the performer/performers are accompanied by incidental music and they read texts by various authors (such as Monique Witting, bloggers, scientific texts and fanzine) that tell the process of domestication of the body and its political and social control. During readings attention is moved from the ‘body’ in general to the women ‘body’, the values attributed to it and the violence exerted on it; this is summed up in the sentence “my body is a battleground”. Afterwards attention moves on the body of the performer and its reappropriation by sexuality, by desire, by choice ; this is summed up in the sentence “my body is a playground”. During readings the performer takes off her clothes and puts them in a black rubbish bag placed beside her.

 

During the second stage attention is moved on the public and participation from the room,

creating something like a ‘contagion’ of the euphoria of nuduty and free body.

 

The performance plays with childood symbols as time when the nudity

has not yet a social value and when somehow the games

involve the sexuality and relationships sphere.

During this stage the central message is about the the role

of the body and nudity in creation/strengthening of

relationships and transmission/diffusion of the

‘bravery’ to transgress.
